Telos reading and analysis program for 5th-7th

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The Classic Literature Program is an eight-week course designed for students to thoroughly read, analyze, and compare a wide range of works, from the works of James Joyce to the gripping short stories of Edgar Allen Poe. Classes will be focused on group discussions of weekly readings and short writing assignments, as well as a week dedicated to a crash course on the works of Shakespeare so that your child will be one step ahead for any literary work in the future. Teaching is catered to the individual needs of each student, and their submitted writing will be analyzed to pinpoint their strengths and weaknesses as a reader. This class aims to give your child a comprehensive background in literature, and to prepare them for composing essays at the college level.
